About me
Hi, I’m Hien Pham, front-end web developer and designer based in Santa Rosa, California. Starting off my career in digital marketing, I have since switched gears to web design and front-end development for the past six years, maintaining a strong marketing perspective and creative, open mindset. My curiosity and care for the end-user experience have inspired me to keep exploring, learning, and growing to stay aligned with the industry. I strongly believe in a quote by Sir Tim Berners-Lee: “The power of the Web is in its universality. Access by everyone regardless of disability is an essential aspect.”. Therefore I want to make websites that work for everyone.
Over the past 8 years, I have worked with a wide range of organizations across a variety of industries like higher education, digital products, AI, non-profit organizations, food, gaming, banking, recruiting, and many others. I design sites on Adobe products, recently Figma, and build them from scratch using a variety of CMS like WordPress, Laravel, CraftCMS, Hubspot, and Shopify. On the side, I am experimenting with headless CMS like Gatsby, building design systems and design tokens to shorten the gap between designers and developers.
These days, I focus on writing defensive, efficient-performed, sustainable, and most importantly, accessible code that is beyond meeting web standards like WCAG.
